Yellow River Park

Tucked close to Stone Mountain park Yellow river is not only one of the oldest trails in the metro area, it also has some of the most diverse terrain in Atlanta.

Most people start out on the beginner loops, these are plentiful and fairly well marked. The more you ride the more you discover and Yellow River has a section or two to satisfy any riding desire. This trail system has about 10 miles of marked wide trails, but the adventuresome person will find ways to loop these trails together for 14 or so miles of beginner and intermediate sections. The easiest to spot loops leave directly from the mountain bike parking lot and follow the blue bicycle signs. When in doubt take the most traveled option and you’re sure to get back where you started.

Due to their close proximity to the city there are several groups rides throughout the week on these trails. Contact the local GATR chapter to find out when the next group ride or clinic takes place.
